The Satre Group had the privilege to work with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the development of the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple, in Springfield, Oregon. The third temple in Oregon, this multi-year project involved extensive land use work and site design. This collaborative process resulted in an inspiring and robust landscape and grounds, which highlight the temple building. The site design is accentuated by repeated curving patterns that wrap through the landscape and features a large entry plaza leading to the building entrance, defined by granite pavers, raised planters, and verdant plantings. Smaller plaza areas are dispersed throughout the site, offering opportunities for rest and reflection. Native northwest plants are accompanied by perennial and annual plantings to create a lush and colorful landscape.
