A sloping site adjacent to Deer Creek made for some unique challenges as well as opportunities for this public safety facility, housing both police and fire. A welcoming public plaza at the entry, an enhanced storm water rain garden and public paths through the site are just some of the design decisions intended to support the city’s public safety objectives while providing a handsome public image.
