Satre Group Principal John Anderson served as Principal-in-Charge of Anderson Design, Inc. for this sector master plan on the campus of Clayton State University. What started as a commuter community college in the early sixty’s has grown into a four-year University, with the central core of campus falling into disrepair and lacking universal access. Anderson Design was charged with updating the site design to provide a fresh new approach while honoring the original mid-century architecture and vibe. The results are functional campus spaces of varying scale and program, allowing both major campus gatherings and intimate spaces for one or more while allowing accessibility for everyone.
